Two languages, one Kaiku
Kaiku supports bilingual couples. You write in your own languages, and Kaiku translates the messages into each other's language — the original is always one tap away. Kaiku speaks, asks and reflects to each of you in your own language.
You talk in your own — Kaiku adjusts
Pierre writes in French, you in English. Kaiku translates the messages into your language automatically — and the original is always one tap away.
When Kaiku joins the conversation, he speaks French to Pierre and English to you. Same insight, two languages, respecting both. You don't have to choose one language for your relationship.
- 1Pierre writes in French, you in English — Kaiku translates the messages into your language, the original always available.
- 2When Kaiku steps in, he speaks to each in their own language — same insight, two languages.
Each of you picks your own Kaiku language
From couple settings each of you chooses your primary Kaiku language. English for you, French for Pierre. Kaiku speaks to each in their own language, and the question of the day appears for both in their own language.
You don't have to pick one shared language for the relationship. The couple can speak whatever between themselves — Kaiku adjusts. Supported languages: English, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Estonian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian — and 17 more, all at native level.
Same question, two natural versions
The couple's question of the day shows to both of you in your own language. You answer in your own languages, and the shared insight is contextualized for each in their own language. Kaiku does this automatically.
English for you, French for Pierre. Same meaning, same depth, just different languages. You don't have to translate anything — Pierre answers in French, you in English, and you each see the answers in your own language, with the original always one tap away.
- 1The question shows to each of you in your own language — same meaning, same depth.
- 2You answer in your own languages — you each see the answers in your own language, with the original always available.
Insight in two languages
When Kaiku makes a couple insight from both of your answers, the insight is served to each in their own language. Same meaning, same warmth — two natural versions.
Kaiku is written natively in 31 languages, not translated from one. That's why French nuance reaches the French speaker and English subtleties reach the English one. The foreign partner isn't a second-class user.
How this works
Two languages side by side
You each write in your own language, and Kaiku translates the messages into each other's language — the original is always available.
Translation, original always there
Your partner's messages are translated into your language — one tap shows the original. And Kaiku speaks to each of you in your own language.
31 native languages
Kaiku is written for each language separately — not translated from one.
This is rare. Most relationship apps assume the couple speaks the same language. Kaiku doesn't assume — it asks and adjusts.
Pierre's French and my English have never been the obstacle — but in every other app one of us ends up as a second-class user. Kaiku speaks to us both in our home language.
Common questions
Are our messages auto-translated?
Yes. You write in your own languages, and Kaiku translates the messages into each other's language — the original is always one tap away ("show original"). You can also choose in settings whether the translation or the original is shown first.
Which languages does Kaiku support?
31 languages at native level, including English, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Estonian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian, Slovak, Slovenian, Croatian, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Tagalog — and Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic.
Can I change Kaiku's language mid-way?
Yes. Profile → Language → switch. Kaiku starts speaking your chosen language immediately. Your partner's choice stays as it was.
What if one of us wants to speak a language other than our native one?
Totally fine. Each Kaiku language is your own choice — not tied to your native language. You can both pick English if you want.
Is the insight quality the same in both languages?
Yes. Kaiku produces the insight for each of you in your own language, natively — not with a translation engine. The foreign partner is not a second-class user.
