Private solo + shared couple
Kaiku has two conversation spaces side by side. Solo is between you and Kaiku. Couple is the two of you plus Kaiku. What you say in solo doesn't leak to couple — that's why Kaiku can go deep in both roles.
Solo space: a private listener
In solo space you can talk about things you don't want to share with your partner. Stress, work, your own feelings, health — Kaiku listens without the conversation leaking to couple space.
You can rehearse words here before you say them out loud. Solo messages don't appear in couple chat. You don't have to watch what you say — you can be honest. A private space supports the relationship.
- 1Solo tab active — your partner doesn't see these messages.
- 2You can rehearse words before you bring them to couple space.
Couple space: a shared listener
In couple space the two of you talk while Kaiku listens in the background. Kaiku doesn't interrupt — he acts as a quiet wise companion. You talk, you decide, Kaiku helps when you ask.
Couple space is a third space between the two of you. Question of the day, handling conflicts, couple rituals, acknowledging repair — these don't work in solo space, they belong to the couple.
- 1"Kaiku is listening" indicator in the header — present, but doesn't interrupt.
- 2Couple tab active — a third space between the two of you.
Bridge: rehearse in solo, say it in couple
The bridge lets you rehearse words in solo space and then bring a single message to couple space. You don't move the conversation — only the line you chose.
Your partner sees one message, not the context. You can try several versions before picking one. Privacy and connection — you have your own space to rehearse, couple space stays clean. The bridge is a connection, not a leak.
- 1Three drafts — you can try several forms, your partner doesn't see them.
- 2"Send to couple" moves just one line you chose, not the context.
Same Kaiku, different role
In solo space Kaiku replies actively (you're alone in the conversation). In couple space Kaiku is quiet (the two of you are there). The persona is the same — your language, preferences, workout profile. The rhythm of interaction is different.
Solo = active listener. Couple = quiet wise companion. Kaiku knows you as the same user, but the content of individual messages stays sealed per space. This is Kaiku's larger structure: same AI in different roles.
Tabs at the bottom — one tap to switch
Solo and couple appear as tabs in the bottom bar. One tap to switch. You can remove couple space if you use Kaiku alone, and the app adapts.
Solo / Couple / Workouts / Body + others. The active tab is gold, the rest are grey. Fast switching. Some days you'll move back and forth between spaces, others you'll stay in one — both are fine.
- 1Bottom bar shows all tabs — solo, couple, body, workouts, me. One tap switches space.
Why two spaces, not one

Nadzorovan most
Vadiš lahko v lastnem prostoru, v par-način pa preneseš le sporočilo, ki ga izbereš.
Most relationship apps are couple-only. Kaiku recognizes that everyone has an individual life next to the relationship — and respects it.
I like that I can talk to Kaiku alone about things I'm not yet ready to say to Sam. And then with Sam we know Kaiku is listening — but doesn't push.
Common questions about the spaces
Does my partner see what I say in solo space?
No. Solo and couple are separate. Kaiku knows the difference, and your partner doesn't see things you said alone.
Can I use just solo space?
Yes. Solo works for free without couple space. Couple only activates when you invite your partner.
What if only one of us wants couple space?
Couple opens only when both of you join. Until then, each of you can use solo space alone.
How do I switch spaces?
From the bottom tab bar. One tap — the chrome changes color and you immediately recognize you're in a different space.
Can I remove couple space when I don't need it?
Yes. Profile → What you use → Couple off. The app cleans up the nav for you.
Do both of us pay a Premium subscription separately?
No. In couple space both are on the subscription, but only one pays. The other joins for free.
